ABOUT THE vENUE:

Heintzman House

Located at the centre of the GTA, the Heintzman House is one of the oldest buildings in the region with a long and fascinating history; home to many of Thornhill and Markham's leading citizens. Built as a respite from city life, this country mansion is an eclectic blend of Classic, Georgian and Regency style architecture with a Classical Revival porch featuring magnificent portico pillars. Both the picturesque gardens and the house have been exceptionally maintained and lovingly cared for.

A radiant May day, four singer-songwriters, three brand-new EPs, two overworked producers, and one captivating historic site worth visiting.

After a two-year hiatus, ‘Stories’ is back for an in-person live session. This year, the event takes place at Heintzman House in Thornhill—a century-old mansion once home to a renowned piano-making family. In this venue deeply intertwined with Canada’s musical history, four original music artists active in Toronto will share their beautiful voices, original compositions, cherished guitars, and the inspirations behind their songs.

May 10th, Saturday 2:30pm, see you at ‘Stories: Live in the mansion’.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

EricJuu, currently residing in Toronto, is a worship musician, songwriter, music producer, composer, singer, semi-reputable villain, and toy-collecting enthusiast. He is skilled in sound design and has an in-depth understanding of the cultural elements of both traditional and modern music. A rising talent in the music industry, he has been nominated for and won numerous music awards in China and Canada, having released music all over the globe.

John is a guitar player and audio mixing enthusiast who spends way too much time chasing the “perfect tone” that probably doesn’t exist. He is convinced that adding just one more plugin will finally make the mix perfect, obsessively tweaking EQ settings like a mad scientist, he’s always on a quest for sonic glory. Known for making his neighbours question reality with experimental reverb settings, John’s musical adventures are a blend of creativity, chaos, and the occasional accidental feedback loop.

Hanyü is a Chinese artist based in Toronto. She begins her creative process by exploring feminist narratives rooted in her personal experience, shaping the elements of each song to reflect its essence. Hanyü works both independently and with other producers, bringing a unique touch to each project.

Minnie Yang is a Toronto-based Chinese singer-songwriter, designer, and actress. Through her work, she crafts modern fairy tales that explore the depths of human emotion. In addition to contributing to original soundtracks and acting for Chinese TV dramas, she is set to release her debut EP, O.H.M.Y.!, this summer—a journey through her interpretations of love and identity.

Yoshe Li is an independent singer-songwriter whose music blends elements of pop rock and indie, drawing influences from artists such as John Mayer, Blur, and MCR. With a background in classical piano and flute, Yoshe found her voice as a songwriter and performer through the guitar, crafting guitar-oriented songs with distinctive melodies and sound design. Her music explores themes of love, self-growth, and the everyday philosophy of life.

Joni T is an acoustic alt-rock artist from Toronto who draws from his life experiences to write songs exploring themes of loneliness, heartbreak, and the longing to fit in. Through his music, he leaves a record of his thoughts and feelings—a way to say he was here. Hopefully, his songs can connect with anyone who has ever felt lost and searching for their place in the world. Joni T is currently in the midst of recording his debut EP to be released this summer.
